Overview

The Micromanipulation and ICSI Hands-on Training at SEART is a one-month certificate course focused on the practical side of ICSI. It introduces the micromanipulation setup, the preparation of oocytes and sperm, and the steps of the ICSI procedure.

The emphasis is on hands-on practice, so that learners gain familiarity with handling micromanipulation equipment and understand how ICSI fits into the wider IVF laboratory workflow.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate Degrees: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc.).
  • Medical & Allied Graduates: Holders of MBBS, MD, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, or equivalent medical/paramedical qualifications are widely accepted.
  • Veterinary Sciences: Graduates in Veterinary Science often qualify for specialized technical programs.
  • Prior Experience: Advanced short-term hands-on ICSI or micromanipulation certificate modules may require existing laboratory experience, prior junior embryology training, or familiarity with basic andrology and IVF workflows.

Oocyte and sperm preparation

  • Oocyte denudation and assessment
  • Sperm selection for ICSI

The School of Embryology and Assisted Reproductive Technology (SEART) offers focused training in reproductive science at its Gurugram campus. Our Micromanipulation and ICSI Hands-on Training is a one-month certificate course built around practical work at the micromanipulator.

The course helps learners become familiar with the equipment, handling and workflow involved in intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). With access to SEART's training facilities and experienced educators, participants can connect the theory of ICSI with day-to-day laboratory practice.
