Overview

The Cryopreservation/Vitrification and Embryology Lab course at SEART is a 15-day certificate course covering the principles and practice of preserving gametes and embryos.

Learning areas include cryobiology basics, slow freezing and vitrification, warming procedures, storage and tracking, and quality control in the cryo laboratory.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate Background: A B.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, or Zoology.
  • Medical / Clinical Background: Medical graduates (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS) or post-graduates are often eligible for specialized or advanced clinical certificate modules.
  • Prior Experience: Advanced short-term hands-on ICSI or micromanipulation certificate modules may require existing laboratory experience, prior junior embryology training, or familiarity with basic andrology and IVF workflows.
